What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish
frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds, or podcasts.
Users of RSS content use programs called feed "aggregators" or "readers": the user
"subscribes" to a feed by supplying to their aggregator a link to the feed; the
aggregator can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds
have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content
and present it to the user.
What does RSS do?
RSS allows you to view FAA Safety Team News, Notices, and a weekly discussion of
accident causal factors delivered to your desktop, or added to your blog or website.
How do I subscribe?
Simply look for the orange RSS icon
throughout the site. Mouse over the image, right-click, and copy the URL. (Choose
"Copy Shortcut" for Internet Explorer, "Copy Link Location" for Firefox, or "Copy
Link" for Safari.)
In your feed aggregator, select the option that adds a new feed or channel, then
paste in the URL and click OK. Click to instantly add content to your page.
If your browser supports it, you can simply click on the RSS icon
in your browser's address bar and select the feed from there.
