This will be a discussion of today's flight training devices and how they benefit pilot training and currency, logging time legally and accurately, and finally things you can and can’t do in various devices.

Directions to Venue:

From the North, head South on US HWY 27 till you reach the crossroads of 27 and 98. Turn left and follow all the way down to the FBO which is on your left.

From the South, head up US HWY 27 N past Lake Placid. Continue another 10 (+/-) miles. Turn right onto State Route 98, then follow the road to the FBO near the end. The FBO is on your left.

Thanks to our speaker Stephen Lawrence Gatlin, AGI/IGI.  He is a certified pilot since the age of 17. He also teaches A320 and B737 systems in an FAA Part 142 environment. He also teaches as non-FAA training under EASA/JAA/CASA to a variety of pilots. With over 7500 logged hours of instruction in flight simulators and fight training devices and 6000 logged hours of classroom instruction, Stephen is well versed in all types of fight training devices and how pilots from the student level through ATP benefit from them. Stephen is a 1985 graduate of The Oho State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation from the Ohio State University College of Aviation. He is lifetime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) and The Society of Aviation and Flight Educators. (SAFE).

We wish to also provide a big thanks to the Aviation Department of Broward College, especially to Dr. Sean Gallagan and Emilia Colageo - for working together with the South Florida FAASTeam to make this seminar happen.
